Washington D.C.

Monday may 5, 2014

This morning we headed to Mount Vernon to see the Washington Estates.  But, first we stopped at Au Bon Pain for breakfast, per Annie's suggestion.  It was very tasty.

 Martha and George Burial Site

 Slave Memorial Gardens

After eating at the cafeteria we headed to turn in the rental car at Reagan Airport and then off to Arlington.  Arlington cemetery has so much to see and we knew we would have a hard time walking the entire thing so we opted for a on and off bus ticket to see it.

Arlington House - The Robert E Lee Memorial

 Challenger Memorial

 Changing of the Guards

The days just seemed to fly by.  We headed back to the hotel but first ate at District Taco.  It was okay but definitely not a 10.  We had to do laundry so that's what we did and then to bed to get up early for our White House tour.
