Washington D.C.

May 4, 2014

     *Headed to breakfast around 8
     *Ate a McDonalds
LeeAnn did an instagram of our breakfast and Annie responded with a list of other options for breakfast.  We did not eat at McDonalds again.  It was packed that morning because there was some kind of race happening.
*Headed to Gettysburg National Park arriving around 10:00
*Opted to do a driving tour of the Park.  Keith Ray was our guide.
     *Ate at the Gettysburg Cafeteria
*Watched the film "A New Birth of Freedom"
     *Entered the Gettysburg Cyclorama
     *Did Gettysburg Museum

Headed back to Washington after our Gettysburg experience.  We had opted to do a DC night tour and did not have much time in between to get to the tour.  We quickly ate at The White Apron, which was a soup and sandwich shop.  Then headed to the metro and Union Station.

Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial

 Franklin Roosevelt Memorial
It was fun being in the city and seeing all the things you read about.  There were many more things we saw that night and some of those we got back to later in the week.
