Dear Mom and Dad,
I'm so excited about Max and Sam! I didn't even guess where they
would be serving, but I can see them both going to Chile. That is so
cool! Let them know that I'm excited about their calls, it'll be fun to
talk to them about it before they go into the MTC.
I think its interesting that the Presidential Elections are still
so unpredictable. I guess that is still a good sign for Pres. Obama.
For the 2008 elections, many polls predicted a Democratic victory a year
before the elections. I'm starting to see Mitt Romney's face pop up
here in Taiwan. Nothing crazy, just on the news or the cover of a
newspaper. Let me know if they have any major changes in the campaign.
I'm really interested in the polls, especially about the undecided
states.
My health is okay. I'll be stopping by the doctor's today. My
cold is a lot better, I feel like it will wrap up in the next day or
so. Nothing serious, just a bad cold. My legs are okay. I've talked
to Sis. Bishop, I've seen a doctor and done x rays, and the mission
doctor in Hong Kong called me with some invitations. President Bishop
came and gave me a physical on Saturday (don't forget, he's a doctor.)
I'll be doing some testing to make sure I don't have any kidney problems
today, just because of swelling. I've been taking aleve throughout the
day, and I've stopped running in the mornings. The thing that helped
the most was putting inserts into my shoes, and getting a
priesthood blessing. My feet and legs actually have improved a lot, so
its definitely been taken care of.
Well, I love you both. I feel like this is the most dilligent,
obedient, and worthy I've been my entire mission. I feel like I'm
fulfilling my purpose. Interestingly enough, the more focused I feel,
the more I love and appreciate my family. I want to spend more time
together as a family when I get home.
Have a good week!
Elder Travis Leatham
