July 2, 2012 Email

Dear Mom and Dad,
Hello!  Its me, Elder Leatham!  We had movecall, and guess what? I'm not moving!  I'll be with Elder Dailey for a little bit, it'll be good.  This movecall was a little tough, it was a little disappointing to go a movecall without a baptism.  This one, will just have to work a little harder.  We have a few pretty cool investigators right now, we're meeting with a Bro. Zhang who is really excited to be baptized in 4 weeks.  He has been to a lot of different religions, and he says our church is not the same.  He's an interesting guy, he does woodwork for a living, its really cool.
Yeah, past few weeks have been a little tricky.  I haven't been able to fall asleep, its really weird.  I'm exhausted by the end of the day, and I want to fall asleep all day.  When I actually get in bed, I can't get a full night's sleep.  Last night was better, I actually got to bed, but then I kept waking up.  I've been trying a few different things, a less active member we visit sells Chinese medicine for a living, so I've been using some of that before I go to bed.  Its helped me be more relaxed and my mind doesn't race as much when I go to bed.  Do you have any other ideas?
We have a cool ward, and they are super willing to help us.  The only problem is we don't have a lot of investigators that can meet at night, and most members work during the day.  Yeah, its fun.  So we're going to focus more on having members go with us to visit less active members.  The ward seems really cool about it.
Our bishop is the man.  He called us the other day, and said "Elder Han, where are you? Can you stop by the church?"  A few minutes later, he pulls up on his scooter with his wife.  They gave us this big bag of Peking duck, it was super awesome.  We saved it for sunday, it was a big feast.
Yeah, I really hope Vanessa can stop by and visit, I know she plans on it.  I didn't give her your cell number, because I forgot it.  Haha!  I have her number, so if you can't get in touch, I can give it to you.  I sent a letter to our house for her, I'm pretty sure that's not against the rules.  Haha!  I sent a letter for Nick as well.
Well, we're having computer wenti, so I need to go.  I love you both, and hope you have a good week!
-Elder Travis Leatham
