Two Weeks Worth

May 2 & 9

Dear Mom and Dad,
Well gee whiz, what do I have to talk to you about? It was great talking with you last night, its alot easier to tell you about everything I am doing in the field. It was nice to hear your voices.
Today Elder Jaramillo left for Daiya, which is the most northern part of the mission. I am now serving with Elder Elaison, he's great. He's very different from my trainer, very laid back and fun. I think we'll get along well, and he has inherited a really great area with a number of great progressing investigators. I'm kind of nervous, everyone always says the second is the hardest, because they do everything differently from your trainer. I'll work really hard to make sure not to say that about my second companion.
Man, I don't know what to talk about. Did I tell you we caught a giant spider the other day? Pretty grody. He was about the size of dad's hand spread out.
Hmm, I'm running out of thoughts. I love you so much, I hope you had a great mother's day Mom. The past six months have flown by, it'll be no time before I'm back home. Its interesting, I don't feel like I don't want to leave yet. Its like, "yeah, when a year and half is done, that's good." For some missionaries, it changes much later, and some of the older ones it never happens. I'll talk to you next week.

Dear Mom and Dad,
We had a really interesting week, lots of ups and downs, but optimistic and diligent all the time. Saturday was crazy, I've actually been sick for about two weeks with stomach problems. Saturday at lunch time I ended up throwing up, terrible. We had permission to go buy medicine and rest...but I decided to stick it out. Haha! I'm feeling a lot better, not fully recovered. I'll have to look into it if its still a problem. I went to the eye doctors last week, I was afraid the ingrown eyelash was back. But I have "foreign contact sensation," which is a goofy way of saying allergies.
I painted my bike today!!! Its pretty shui, red green and yellow, just the way Bob Marley would want it. I even have a little Jamaican flag on it. Haha!
No baptisms this week. Its alright. It'll be too bad if we blank this move call, especially since this is probably my last move call with Elder Jaramillo. Can you believe it, I've been on island for 3 months. Ridiculous. We do have a good number of investigators who I can see progressing to baptism this May.
Mothers Day! Here's the deal. I'll call at around 7 or 8 in the morning, or 7 or 8 at night. Ours is a little tricky, we don't have a house line. But I will call. So hang around the phone, I will call. You xinxin you banfa.
I do not have my new garments yet. Haha! I'm waiting on Taibei. I just have to do laundry more often. We only cook at home for breakfast and on sundays. We eat out every day, because it is dirt cheap. We can buy lunch and dinner for about 3 dollars American. Our apartment is alright, apparently we have a cockroach in the kitchen, I haven't seen it yet. The weather here is very hot, it gets hotter everyday. I'm always sweating. Its good fun.
I love you, talk to you on Sunday!
