December

It has been such an enjoyable December.  A lot to keep up with but it has been fun.  The month started with our neighbor breakfast.  Love doing the neighbor breakfast.  This was the fourth year, it was also the smallest group we have had since we started.  Even though that was the case we had a good time and had a few neighbors who stayed for quite a while to visit and eat.  The scones were good along with all the other yummy stuff.  I never get pictures of the breakfast.  To much going on.

I forgot, Travis moved out.  That was the big deal at the beginning of the month.  He moved out with two friends to an apartment on Foothill Drive.  It is much closer to the U and Deseret Book but farther for him to travel for the Avid job.  It did not take Wade and I long to turn his bedroom back into a guest bedroom and playroom for Braidyn.

That same day we had the neighbor breakfast that evening we had the Peterson Christmas party.  It was hosted this year by Karl and Judy.  It was a great evening of visiting, good food, and lots of laughs.  We were able to take Braidyn with us this year so Wade spent most of his time in the basement with the kids instead of upstairs with the adults.  There was a blizzard that night which made the roads very treacherous.   We ended up with Braidyn, Travis and Karla spending the night.  Thanks Haley for the fun Christmas Bingo.

I was put over the Christmas gift for the primary children and also the music CD we give out with the songs they will be learning for the new year.  I was glad to be able to do both.   For the ornament we decided to do a picture of Christ with the children put inside an ornament.  I think they turned out very nice.

Next on the December agenda was the Ward Christmas Party.  The Primary was over it this year so that meant a lot of work for the presidency.  We had the Hunter Madrigals perform, lots of good food, the primary children singing, and of course a visit from Santa.  It was a long day but well worth it.  This Sunday I will be released from the Primary Presidency, I know I have only been in for 6 months, and being put in as the primary chorister.  The Young Women stole our chorister and so I am going to try to replace her.

Always enjoy being around family on Christmas.  Christmas Eve we again had our Prime Rib dinner with Arda, Travis, Kyle, Wade and myself.  The dinner was very tasty, even if I say so myself.  Travis spent the night so Christmas morning we headed out to pick up Kyle and head to LeeAnn's for breakfast.

After a delicious breakfast and a fun time opening presents we headed back home to get  our house ready for the Leatham dinner and open our family presents.  Had a great time with the Leatham side but I forgot to get pictures.

Because Christmas day is so crazy getting from one place to another and with Braidyn's parents trying to see everyone in their family we decided to figure out another day we could have Braidyn.  Tonight was the night.  We went and got him, took him to dinner and then came back and let him open his presents from us.  We had such a good time.  He is such a joy to be around.  Braidyn got dinner all over his pajamas so we put the pajamas Judy had given us on the snowy Peterson party night and threw his in the washer.  Thanks Judy.
