June 6 Email

So first of all, not my girlfriend. haha! She has no interest in the church. We haven't seen her for a while, much to my relief. The crucifix is totally not against the rules. Ba. I've heard more about my RC, he is not actually in the mafia, but apparently his family is. I don't know all the details, I'd rather not know. We're not allowed to go to his house.

So I have learned that Taiwanese people hate the rain. Its weird, because during the summer it will never stop raining. So they all stay in, and we go tracting or call a lot of numbers. By that time, I'll probably be in a new area. Taiwanese people are so funny, I saw an old lady wiping her dog's bottom the other day. The weirdest thing was, the dog didn't mind. When I was on exchanges with my DL, elder Jensen, we went and met an investigator who runs a chinese medicine shop of sorts. He was talking about how all this stuff can make you feel better, and to be nice, I said "oh my back is sore sometimes, maybe I can stop by next week." Next thing I know, he has my arm pinned down on the table and he whips out this thing that looks like a stake, and jabs it into my arm where the nerves are. He starts grinding it into my arm in 3 different spots, it hurt like crazy sauce. But you know what, my back pain was gone. I guess it works somehow. But man, it freaked me out.

Mr. Li is good to go. He has been to church 3 times, and keeps telling everyone about it. He asked me to baptize him, which has made him more excited. He had no problems at all during his interview. Its crazy, everything is going smoother than I ever imagined.

Guess what, my RC, Ye Qimao, he has tortises! I played with them! They are so cool!
I don't have a lot to write emails today, next week will be a little more laid back. We went to Anping because today is the Dragon Boat festival. I didn't see any boats, but it was fun. Sorry, my watch fell apart, so I bought a watch that was pricier than expecting. I'll be more clear on how I use money, its crazy how fast things fall apart on a tropical island.

Well, I did get the package from Heidi and the cards from Sis Hancock. Yay! Tell sis Hancock thanks, you can let Heidi know I'll send her an email next week. Times up.
Well I love you! I'm feeling great, I hope you feel better mom! Have fun in Italy!
