Friday, April 1, 2011, Accent Counter Tops came to install our new counter tops. I have to be honest, I had lost sleep over if I really would like what we picked out but knew it was to late to worry, it was done. They came, ripped out the old and began the new. Other than the terrible glue smell it was pretty painless.

I Love It!

New sink and faucett!

This is going to take a little getting used to.

Wade and I had no problem un-hooking the plumbing from the old sink so they could haul it away. They did not haul it away but left it in our front yard. We really thought (I thought) we could get it hooked back up no problem. Boy was I wrong. The sink is an under the counter sink and is also deeper than our original. Everything was in a different place than the old sink. We called the plumbing company we have always used and they happened to have an opening Friday afternoon, what luck. There was no room to hook up an individual pipe from each side of the sink. They needed to create one pipe. We have so much more room under our sink now. We could never have done this without help and days of work and several trips to the hardware store. What was I thinking. Of course, Wade was right. Don't tell him.

A great friend and neighbor came over and installed the new lights that we had picked out.

We now have a soft glow in our kitchen instead of harsh bright lights.

All in all, I am really excited about the new kitchen. New curtains and a little paint and it will be done completely.
