New Year Update

January was a blur.  I'm not sure what was so busy about the month but it was.  Now February is almost over.  I'm glad to be back to working, even if it is only one day a week.  It seems to help Wade so he doesn't feel so stressed.  It's also good for me to use my brain more.  The good thing about only working one day is that I get to tend Braidyn more.  Jenn started working so I try to tend twice a week for her.  Travis and Braidyn are great friends.  He loves to spend time with his Uncle.  With Travis school and work schedule they don't get to see each other that much.

Bath time is one of the funnest things we get to do.  He has loved taking baths, splashing me and trying to get a drink from the tap are hilarious.  This last couple of weeks he has screamed when I even mention a bath let along try and put him in it.  Any suggestions out there why this might be.  My boys always loved bath time when they were little so I have not clue.

The snow has also been and adventure for us.  Every afternoon he brings me his boots, we get him all dressed in his snow gear and we go out and play in the snow.  It only lasts about ten to fifteen minutes and he wants back in the house, but it's still and adventure.  We even tried to build a snowman but that didn't work out well.  He didn't quite get the concept of what I was trying to do

It is crazy that Braidyn is going to be 18 months in March.  He has such
an amazing personality.  The other day when Wade got home we went into the garage to welcome him.  Wade was bringing in the garbage cans from the street.  As soon as Braidyn saw him he starting giggling, laughing and chatting all at the same time.  Of course he wanted Grandpa
and Grandma was all but forgotten.  That's okay, I got him all day.

Wade received a new calling last week.  He is now back on the High Council.  I know it is not what he really would like to do.  He was really enjoying his calling as Executive Secretary.  He would much rather be serving in the ward rather than the stake, but he will do a fantastic job wherever he is serving.  I will stick with my little Sunbeams.  They are cute, fun and I get to play during church, what more could you ask for.

As I mentioned earlier Travis is very busy with school and work.  He is having trouble remembering to turn the lights off in his car.  Yes, that means dead battery.  The first time he called and wanted me to drive up to the U to give him a jump.  No, was my answer.  You need to go into the Institute and ask to see if anyone can help you before I am driving up.  Of course there was someone who would help.  This last time it was at the tracks station.  Of course I would come and help.  Of course he will never ask me to help again.  I put the jumper cables on incorrectly.  Stupid mistake, I know, but I did it.  Started my car and the cables on his car start smoking and not just a little.  Leave his car, come home, read on the internet what some of the outcomes might be on putting them on wrong, feel sick.  Called the neighbor to see if we could borrow their jumper cables. Go back to track station and try again, praying the entire time I did not ruin his battery or electrical system.  Yeah, it started right up.  So, I fried our battery cables but not his car.  I can live with that.
