Kitchen Remodel

We have been talking about doing this for quite awhile now, Kitchen Remodel. Finally it is happening. We are a bit slow when it came to actually doing it. We have looked at appliances so many times Wade said I had finally worn him out. Making the decision on the counter top was even tougher. All the decisions have been made and today we started. It will be done in steps and will not actually be done until mid to late April. Not because we are having so much done but because that is how far out the countertop people are.

We have a budget and are sticking to it. That means we were not able to change the face fronts and color of our cupboards because that was way more than our budget and then we would not have been able to do anything else. The whole point of doing this is to get new counter tops. I am not sure what posessed us to get the ones we have. Yuck! And don't fall over with shock we acutally went with something other than brown for the counters. I think we are afraid of color. Just look at all our white walls. We (I use that term loosely) chose Verde Tunas as our color for counters. The color does not show very well here. It is a lime green with speckles of black and grey with tints of yellow and brown. I am so excited. I think it will look great.

We decided to have out cupboards "refreshed". They started this morning and will have everything done and put back by Thursday evening. Everytime I walk into the kitchen I think I need to close the cupboards. Looks like a good time to get them all cleaned out and re-organized.

Next week the new appliances are coming and being installed.
