Clean Clothes

Last friday as I was doing my cleaning, which includes laundry, this terrible noise started coming from the laundry room. I had done two loads with no noise, and now this. It was a a high pitch clunking noise. The load that was in had a full tank of water and suds. The agitator was trying very hard to move but could not. I stuck my hand in the cold water and tried to feel if anything was stuck and preventing it from moving. Nothing. Travis needed to be to work at 3 p.m. and of course he had not pants to wear. This is when good neighbors always come into play. With the washing making a terrbble noise I tried to have it spin with not avail. It did at least empty the water. Yeah for small favors. Wrang out the clothes best I could and ran to the neighbors to run the load. Nothing I tried to the washer helped. That night, thanks to Arda and her washing machine, I was able to get all the laundry done. I only do laundry once a week so there is always a ton.

Of course, last week we went in search of a new washer. With the help of our neighbor/RC Willey Salesperson we found one and got a good deal with it. It was delivered Friday and it was wonderful to be able to do laundry.

It looks so big, but works so well. We did not get a dryer because our dryer works just fine. I a not one to get one just so they match. Some day we will need to get a new dryer. Maybe then will I match. I know, I know, then they will be wearing out a different times. Oh well.

They do look like the odd couple sitting in the laundry room. As long as they both work, I am a happy camper.
