Getting Started!

Finally, I am actually posting on a blog. I am sure they will be short simple and very few of them. It has to start somewhere. It was a crazy busy week and we all survived.
Monday Capt Crunch's (T) play he was in, and seemed like the cast practiced forever, was performed. "Is He Dead" was the name and it was done very well. T was an artist that could not sell any of his paintings so he and his friends decided if he was dead they would sell. The plot was set to make everyone think he was ill and then died. His character then dressed like the dead artists sister. It was fun and he did a great job. He said he even lost weight because the costumes were so hot. The little theater they performed in was also very hot and uncomfortable.

Glad It's Over

Tuesday night we were able to go to South Ogden and see a Niece and Nephew in Seusical. It was very well done. We were glad we could go and see it. Wade and I took advantage and headed out early and had dinner together before the musical. It was a great night and the theater they performed in was air conditioned. That made it so much nicer than the previous night.

Wednesday night was church business. Then Friday during the day we took Wade's mom to do her flowers. It is good to spend time with her and help her out.

Friday Wade and I went to see the newest member in our family. He is the cutest thing. We are glad that he is healthy and everything went well.

Saturday was Hale Theatre. The play they are doing is "Treasure Island". It was okay. Definitely not one of my favorites.

Today was Memorial Day. T has wanted a suit for a very long time so this morning we went looking. We went to Mr. Mac's. The salesman that helped us was really good. He kept hinting that T should get the suit and the blazer and slacks. Wade and I kept saying no, one or the other. The salesman should get a big E for effort. He didn't give in until the end when he finally gave in that we were just getting one. T settled on the blue blazer and a pair of tan and grey slacks to go with it. He looks really sharp. Hopefully he will wear it for Seminary Graduation on Sunday. But with him, who knows.
Because it was Memorial Day most of my family got together for a barbecue. It was a good time. Wade and I both said after everyone left that we need to do this more often. We played yard games and cards. Unfortunately with Pit we woke the baby. What a fun game. One family member, very competitive and really taking the game of croquet seriously, was beat out by a nine year old. Sorry Justin. Better luck next year. After the eating and fun we walked up to mom's grave and placed our flowers. Mom's grave was covered in them. A great tribute to a great woman.

T also had his final spring concert at Hunter and Sr. Ball. School is winding down and he will soon be graduated.
